Called to Serve

On this Sunday before the Dr. King holiday, we explore the spiritual practice of service. How are we called to serve, and what role might service play as we navigate our world as it is right now. This service will continue our Soul Matters theme of “Story”. With Reverend Mara Dowdall back in the pulpit and Abi Sessions as Worship Associate. Rev Dowdall currently serves as UVM chaplain. Our January “Share the Plate” donee is the Rutland Chapter of the NAACP.

Congregational Conversation About This Year’s Budget: While the CVUUS annual budget for 2025-26 is not finalized as yet, we do have a draft which we would like to share with you. We will also put it in the context of the past few budgets so that you can better evaluate changes and trends. Budgets can be confusing and it is expected that you might have some questions and observations. At the Congregational Conversation on Sunday the  19th, after the service, you will have an opportunity to provide input into our next operational budget. Look for Alan Moore and other members of the Finance Team to learn more if you couldn’t attend the Conversation.
