ON SITE & ZOOM. Middlebury College Muslim Chaplain and Interfaith Advisor, Zahra Moeini Meybodi, was our guest minister. She offered her reflection on the intersection of faith and justice, assisted by Tom Morgan. This month’s theme is repair. We share our plate with CVUUS Discretionary Fund.
Zahra Moeini Meybodi has served as an educator in both the academic study of religion and spiritual life to audiences from various walks of life and traditions. She has also served as an organizer for the American Muslim student communities on campuses like the University of Chicago and beyond. She is deeply concerned and passionate about the intersections of education, spirituality and social action, especially on issues relating to racial and economic justice. She received her BA in Religious Studies from Hunter College CUNY, and her Masters from the University of Chicago’s Divinity School. Prior to joining Middlebury College, Zahra taught at Hunter College CUNY.
Beyond her roles as organizer and educator, Zahra enjoys cultivating her skills and knowledge of the fine arts and creative writing, as well as traveling and taking slow walks in nature.
