The Sparks (Preschool-4th Grade)                      

Children ages 3 through 4th grade are the Sparks!  They spend time noticing the special spark each of us has inside us and figuring out how we want to use it in the world. Our whole congregation is using the Soul Matters themes, and the sparks will be using the Soul Matters RE curriculum, which includes themes such as Deep Listening, Story, and Inclusion.

Each session starts with a chalice lighting and check-in, and then a story is shared that helps illuminate the theme, followed by one or more activities.  Some of the activities have included making suncatchers, and playing themed charades.

Middle School Youth (5th-8th Grade)  

The Middle School Group meet once a month during RE time (see schedule for dates) to joyfully connect with one another.  They will be building community through games, justice, special events, conversation, baking, and ideas that come from the kids. 

On other days, the middle school youth join the Sparks in exploring the Soul Matters themes.
