Upcoming CVUUS Author Readings

homefree by Bobbi Loney
Wed April 23, 7 pm, Fellowship Hall
Bobbi will read from her second novel homefree and answer questions about the making of it and its theme. Refreshments. Books available for purchase. Tells the story of 8 year old Kena whose best friend Adam is killed by a drunk driver and the person responsible is Kena’s own mother. This is the story about the homes we love, the ones we lose and the faith it takes to build new ones from the wreckage. It’s about resilience and the transformative power of love to bridge the deepest divides.
The Sweet Pain of Being Alive by Ann Anderson Evans
Thur May 1, 7:15 pm, Sanctuary
Ann will read from the second book of her memoir trilogy in which she has beautifully, painfully dissected her relationship, her husband’s life and his enduring struggles with depression and transgenderism. See more about Ann here and about  works here.
Perhaps there are other CVUUS Authors that would like to schedule a reading. Let us know! If you’re interested in joining the longtime Writers Group meeting in the Fenn Chapel on the 2nd Monday of month at 3 pm, contact Bobbi Loney.
