Religious Exploration

CVUUS offers Religious Exploration (RE) programs for all ages, inspiring:

  • Ethical growth – internalizing enduring values like justice, equity, and compassion, and gaining tools to act on them in everyday life.
  • Social growth – connecting with peers and people of all ages on a deeper level. Finding acceptance among people who see beyond the superficial.
  • Spiritual growth – feeling a connection with the sacred within, among, and beyond us.

Our Religious Exploration programming explores our values as well as the various religious traditions that are the roots and neighbors of our beliefs, and focuses on nurturing connection and creating community.

Programming for Children and Youth

Our RE offerings for children and youth include Sunday morning RE classes, which range from seasonal celebrations, to exploring a specific UU Value or theme through story and play, to helping prepare the food for our congregation’s Fellowship Hour after the service.  Outside of Sundays, you may also find us hiking, preparing meals for others, and marching in pride parades.  We also offer progressive and comprehensive sexual and relationship education programming with the UUA’s Our Whole Lives (OWL) curriculum.  Learn more about RE for children and youth here and check out our current Sunday offerings.

JETPIG stands for our shared values and is fueled by love!  They are a beloved part of our RE program.
