Many hopes and dreams and commitments that will help to shape CVUUS’ future are already present in this congregation. We need to listen closely to hear what they are, and what they’re built on. Rev. Tricia is joined by Mark Ewert, CVUUS’ Stewardship Consultant for this year’s exciting “combined” campaign.  Assisted by Liam Battjes Greenwood. Music led by Jen Cohen accompanied by guest musicians Jon Jon Marsh and Mat Britain. We share our plate with Vermont Abenaki Artists Association in honor of Indigenous Peoples Day this Monday Oct 14. Bold Fundraising Campaign to be Topic of Sunday’s Congregational Conversation  The CVUUS Board and stewardship leaders are planning a special fundraising campaign during the current church year, 2024 – 2025 with an overall goal to sustainably move CVUUS into the future. This campaign will combine our annual stewardship/budget drive with several significant building-related projects, including buying down the current mortgage and replacing and insulating the roof.  We were joined by Mark Ewert of Stewardship 4 Us, who has a wealth of fundraising expertise and experience with UU congregations. It is said that budgets are concrete places where we express our values. Why is CVUUS important to you? What do you hope to see in the future? Please join us on Sunday!  

About Mark Ewert: Mark Ewert is a stewardship consultant, a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy® (CAP®), and an professional leadership & philanthropy coach, certified (PCC) with the International Coaching Federation. He is also a board member with the Faith and Money Network. He brings intelligence and skills based on founding a nonprofit, working as a fundraiser, and leading a national organization. His focus is on helping congregations to grow their cultures of stewardship, and on helping individuals and families to be more skillful in their financial generosity. Aside from working with over 40 congregations during the last twelve years, he has been a lay leader in stewardship and board president of his own large congregation.
